I've always thought this was the dumbest criticism.

Because Daigo had more screentime than the rest, the show is bad? That just doesn't make sense. Kyoryuger is well paced, it has a lot of compelling characters, a deep mythology, a reverence for Sentai's history, and action that blows any show that's come after it out of the water.

But because Daigo, a totally likeable character performed by a charismatic actor, steals the show everything good about it is irrelevant? Yeah... I've just never understood that argument.

I understand preferring a show that more evenly distributes focus across the whole cast. Personally, as long as the story is well told, I don't care who the show chooses to focus on. There are 39 other shows that chose to focus on allocating time to the whole team. Not all Sentai can, or should, be exactly the same, and Kyoryuger's Daigo-centric approach gives the franchise more variety.

Kyoryuger is not my favorite Sentai, but it's still totally solid. I can only imagine Riku Sanjo's second at-bat in the Sentai head writer's seat would be even better.
