I just ask because the first five episodes of any series are generally the weakest, especially in terms of the cast being comfortable with their characters...

I don't think it'd change much, to be honest. The characters remain as static as 4/6 of the Gokaigers, the villains don't really improve much until the revelation about Buredoran, and the new headders coming so early and so quickly kind of leaves you fatigued.
The Yuumajuu tribe takes up too much time and stagnates the show and while Gosei Knight is pretty good, his introduction of literally falling out the sky kind of leaves you with whiplash

I don't really hate Goseiger as much as most people here, but there are a lot of moments where I was watching it, eyes half lidded, and just waiting for the episodes to end
