I feel like Bandai should create a Build-Your-Own Gunpla line where you pick the base model (Based on Scale and Grade of course) then proceed to customize it with either other parts from the other kits or with some specially made parts that they offer. Also sending some pain in the colors of your choice and a brush or two and just gauge the price accordingly would be a great thing to do. That way you don't have to be some sort of crafting genius to make a custom gunpla. Although I do see the appeal in the traditional way I just feel like its a bit out of reach for those who want an awesome looking model like that but are on a budget.

They've already kind of done that with the IBO,Revive,Iron Blooded Arms and Build Custom lines.

Pretty much all IBO kits' parts can be freely interchanged with each other same with the Revive line and the Build Custom and Iron Blooded Arms sets are things like backpacks,hands and weapons.
