Yeah, so, what happened behind the scenes with Kiva? Clearly there was a solid plan in place at the beginning - I mean, there had to be, right? You wouldn't concoct a multiple timeline show and you certainly wouldn't greenlight such a show unless there was a solid plan in place on how it was all going to work... right?
So I thought there must have been some problems in the writing room but, according to the wiki, Inoue wrote the whole series, save 17 & 188 by Shōji Yonemura.
It's like Inoue lost his show bible and just couldn't remember any of his plans.
