I recently started playing Super Sentai Legend Wars on iOS, and although there's a smattering of English in the game, the majority of the game's text is in Japanese.

I'm enjoying it, but since I can't yet read Japanese, a good portion of the game's mechanics are opaque to me. Some heroes have skills, for instance, but it's not clear to me what their effects are. There are also red and yellow "gems" the player can acquire that provide active abilities and passive bonuses respectively, but their text is also fully Japanese, so I rarely know what they do unless it's super-obvious.

Is anyone else playing this? If so, have you found any translation resources or English gameplay information other than the thread on that other Sentai-related message board? Alternatively, do you have any good strategies for ad-hoc usage of Google Translate when you can't actually select the text in question?

Also, I'd be happy to share what I *have* learned about the game, so if anyone else would find it useful, please let me know.

* - As an aside: when I was trying to find a way to get my hands on Kamen Rider Atsume, I ran into a brick wall, but when I researched Super Sentai Legend Wars, I finally stumbled upon a resource on creating a Japanese account with Apple in order to download from the Japanese store. I can share if anyone's interested, but I'm hesitant to post anything about it to this thread unless I get a thumbs-up from our moderators. (Basically, I don't want to accidentally violate forum rules.)
