Episode thoughts

The OP and ED are quite refreshing to hear. The OP has a more animesque sound to it which I appreciate and I dig the ED old school style despite how weird it sounds. I hope we have more songs like this because honestly after Project.R was introduced, a lot of recent Sentai songs sound too similar for my liking

Like everyone has said, the episodes pacing is a bit too fast considering how many things are being introduced. I wonder though if this is the case of the writer trying to get all the toy related stuff out of the way in order to get to other stories(Something I felt was the case with Ghost's first 10-12 episodes) but we'll see how that turns with the introduction of the other characters

That being said I like the concepts that are being introduced. The whole traveling to different planets. Potentially getting to see new and interesting environments. How the Rebellion builds up as the show goes along. It's all very exciting

Characters. Let's start with Lucky. We'll see how he develops over the course of the show but for now I don't find him as overbearing as other people have, though I'm probably just indifferent to the character archetype. Garu on the other hand needed a better introduction considering how serious his backstory is but it's still something that can be developed as the show goes on. The other characters are fine. The episode introduced their personalities and archetypes which is all it needed to do.

Action. First off the suits are great, I think everyone can agree with that. I like the different fighting styles that the rangers have which is something that isn't new to Sentai but it's very apparent here due to how widely different the characters are in their characteristics.

Mecha wise, for one I think Kyurenoh is a better design than some of the mechas we had in the past few years. I appreciate that we have a different background setting than the usual city or mountain landscape and the finisher was quite cool. I hope the modular element of the limbs become an important aspect in the show and not just something that's regulated to the toys.

One final thing that I noticed was that the fight ost is the same one from their cameo in the Zyuohger vs Ninninger movie. Usual the early cameo of a Sentai team or Rider uses different music from the ones in their show but that's not the case here. Overall I'm cautiously excited. I haven't finished a Sentai series since Toqger and all the things that are being introduced here feel like things that will bring me back in provided they are executed well.
