Not having his luck powers save him in the climax of this episode doesn't really create any balance. We'll how often it does and doesn't get him out of predicaments as the show goes on.
However, I'm already banking on him getting his sun/moon form by fucking stumbling over it on a planet or something.

Let's be honest, it's not like any other tokusatsu show hadn't had something like this, it's just that now there seems to be an actual reason for it. I mean lets look at Ex-Aid's first episode for example:

• Emu happen to stumble upon Asuna

• Emu patient happen to have the Bugster Virus

• Emu happen to turned out to be this legendary gamer that they were looking for

Or a more related example, Zyuohger:

• Yamato happen to stumble upon the Link Cube

• Yamato happen to have the Champion Symbol

• Yamato happen to be able to use the Champion Symbol despite not being a Zyuman

Like I said, this stuff happens all time .
