I mean, that does seem like the most likely thing. Me saying he's in charge of games is just me being facetious. It just seems...weird, that he's part of the top four elite Fangires if all his role amounts to is muscle. When the others have fairly specific, important roles as authority figures, having one just the strong one to me feels silly. Like he could easily just be some random Fangire, not one of these super special ones.

Like, it's established that the power of the Checkmate Four itself chooses the users, but...there is really nothing to choose if all it means is indeed just muscle.

I guess it fits the "Rook" role, but...eh.

There's also the fact that Rook never gets brought up again after being defeated and he never interacted with anyone but the Queen...may contribute to how ambiguous he feels to me.
