Oh, man. When it was announced that they'd be going to Earth, my toku-watching friend said "Uh-oh" simultaneously. I know it was practically inevitable due to cost reasons, but MAAAAAN! That's disheartening, if only because I was enjoying how well the series was managing to feel like it's set someplace other than standard Sentai shows.

Otherwise, I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. The Kyulette was incredibly bizarre in a mostly-fun way, even thought it's also kind of anticlimactic to find out that this is the mechanism they'll use to manage the cast size for purposes of fight choreography.

That it's episode four and the core team still hasn't been assembled (even though the narrative beats that will get him onto the team have been laid down) is a really, really good sigh. (Tangent: they're treating Stinger so much like a traditional sixth hero that I'll be shocked if he's not a Legend card when he's released in Super Sentai Legend Wars.)
