One of the many unique things about Nexus was that unlike pretty much every other Ultraman show, Nexus doesn't have just one host. He has five of them over the course of the series. 6 if you count count Sayuri from X. Of these 6 hosts, who is your favorite? I'm probably in the minority here, but my favorite is the third one, Ren Senjyu. While he isn't exactly "unique" as far as Tokusatsu protagonists go, it didn't stop me from like him.

Even ignoring that Big Lipped Alligator Moment of an introduction episode, he's childish innocence and caring personality injected life into a cast of character that at that point were just emotionally exhausted after everything they had been through. Even though his personality kind of clashes with the tone of the show at first, it eventually works itself out into a surprisingly satisfying conclusion to a story line that was barely 10 episodes long and kind of came from absolutely nowhere.
