Yeah, I think that's what had been bothering me too, I get why they didn't include anything since her character in game wouldn't need a mouth guard for dancing. But aesthetic-wise a simple line of color going across the face to separate her eyes from her mouth would really help, although it might look better once she turns good and has the blue eyes to contrast with the faceplate.
