[Fish Sandwich]

Well with no more Twitch streams to distract me I finally got back around to Megaranger, watching up to episode 43. This probably goes without saying but I loved it.

This show is SO good at getting tense when it needs to. The second the Nezirangers show up you know things aren't looking good for the heroes. It's like the Nezirezia were trying extra hard to make up for that one lame plan a few episodes back. Not many Sentai villains think to try beating the protagonists at their own game like this.

All these episodes were great and really brought out the best in pretty much all the characters, including some awesome pathos from Kubota because of course. I also really like how a huge part of the Nezirangers' downfall is their total inability to actually function as a team. That's a very "show don't tell" way to get across the usual message of teamwork Sentai pushes, which is cool.
