I fell out of watching Leo. I made it up to the episode where Astra first appears but I kinda stalled out when the preview showed that the next one was about an obnoxious child actor playing the monster. I did enjoy the show, for the most part, but it never clicked with me like most of the other Ultra shows.

Well, you'll get half your wish. There's a wholesale slaughter of the entire supporting cast in episode 40 and only Tooru survives it.
