It's sort of like TV-N, but without leaving Japanese terms in (though I'd say he goes a unnecessarily far on the opposite direction on some occasions, like translating kendo as fencing). Though I honestly prefer TV-N. At least they've been trying lately.
Worst of all is the way he used to translate familial terms. If someone called Takeshi "Takeshi-niichan" (and someone usually did) that'd be translated as "Brother Takeshi." Same with girls, who'd get turned into "Sister So-and-so." Made it sound like all these characters were in some sort of religious order.
I mean, he really should have realized something was wrong with his approach once he released an episode with a line that went "What a weird uncle," but it took until he released the last..20 or so?..episodes of the original show to correct this. His v2s are probably better on the whole, but at this point I just can't be bothered.
And this. I still consider this unacceptable:
Also, this is more of a personal gripe, but I still don't like how he referred to Shocker as a collective "the Shocker." And he's one of those subbers that doesn't release scripts to protect the "integrity" of his releases or whatever, so I couldn't even fix these peeves of mine by altering those, which was my inclination.
What else...oh yeah, he also tended to sub grade schoolers using words like "bastard!" and the like. Usually I really don't care about profanity but at some point you're just being an idiot.
But regardless, again, they're not exactly awful or unwatchable or anything, they get the job done, but if I had to do things over I probably would have just saved myself the headaches over stylistic choices and watched these shows raw.
Well, it looks like KITSubs might be about to rise from the dead, so there may be an alternative option out there.
