It was kind of a pain beause the only things subbed were Gaoranger, Hurricanger, and Abaranger, which were all done by bootleggers with Engrish subtitles.
Nihon started with Dekaranger.
Now the guy I got my DVD-Rs of Dai and Zyu from subbed only the four Kibaranger episodes to Dai and the Dragon Ceasar 2 parter with the two episodes after that for Zyu. I have no idea why only four episodes from each show were subbed, but boy did it make the video quality look like horseshit. Still, it was better than nothing. Then again, just having raws was better than nothing.

I missed out on the whole tape trading thing. I lived in Buffalo NY where we were pretty much in a bubble compared ot the rest of the country.
