The fights toward the end were so formulaic it was almost painful. Base form -> Variant Form -> Variant Form -> Variant Form -> Cut to another fight, repeat to this point -> Cut to the previous fight -> Penultimate Form -> Final Form -> Defeat the bad guy. Rinse, repeat. Ghost's fight changed things up a little, but the other returning Riders might have well been props. It was really nice to see Haruto and Shinnosuke again (and Gaim Banana, if I'm being honest), though.

This mostly cemented my opinions about Ex-Aid, too, in that Emu's actor is awful and the aesthetics of the series do absolutely nothing for me. In direct comparison with the older suits in this film, the Ex-Aid stuff looked even more terrible.

Still, all in all, it was pretty standard fare and I'm always a sucker for returning characters. As has been said, it's too bad Sano couldn't (wouldn't?) come back.
