I'm kinda chalking it up to Poppy, being the bugster of a rhythm game (a.k.a. one of the few types of video games where there's no sort of fighting or violence), she doesn't like to fight all that much and would much rather use her powers in a support role. Hell, even when she was evil, her role was moreso to keep the Riders in check rather than do any sort of active fighting.


At least that's my in-show explanation for it. The real reason is probably, as someone said, possibly only having one version of the Bugvisor Zwei or they can't spare the suit actors.
