I said it before, and I'll say it again.....WOW. This Movie proves just how much the main Series wasted Makoto as a character. Throughout Ghost's run, I always reiterated time & time again that Makoto is THE most underutilized character, given just how rich his backstory and, at least for his introduction, his characterization were. And while I'll go ahead & admit that this Movie doesn't quite deliver enough to fully redeem that, it still delivers a very interesting storyline for Makoto that honestly would've been wonders for him in the main storyline.

I like the whole "three fathers" thing they set up with him in this film, and how they were able to really portray Danton as honestly a really sympathetic villain until he reveals his darker nature in the later half. Also, I know this V-Cinema has gotten alot of flack for not having much action until the end....but honestly, I don't think that's a huge issue. Dialogue & conversation are just as interesting as action, and without that stuff, we wouldn't have much of a compelling story to go off of, now would we? Danton manipulating the people and even Makoto was pretty believable to me, and it was smart of him to use the people's discomfort with human bodies to his advantage, considering they were JUST NOW getting used to them.

Now, I won't lie.....IT'S GHOST WRITING ONCE AGAIN. There are a couple glaring flaws in this V-Cinema, like the retcon of the Makoto Clones(NO, Danton, it DOESN'T make sense for Adel to have gotten them when they literally were being spawned from the GANMAIZERS...), the Deus Ex New Eyecons, Saionji's random inclusion, etc.....but still, for what this V-Cinema was going for, I fully support it. THIS is the shine Makoto was LONG OVERDUE FOR.

.....AND DID YALL HEAR THAT FREAKIN EPIC SOUNDTRACK, MY GOSH!!! Ghost continues to have the best OST even in its spin-offs!!! The Remixes for Necrom & Specter's Battle Themes were AMAZING!!! I'm SO MAD that Toei never releases the OST for spin-offs like this!

Friendship Necrom is just great and the Sin Specter Fight is probably my favorite V-Cinema Fight out of all of them purely because it's a fight and not a complete wipe out like with all the other V-Cinema Forms.

HECK YEA, dude. Those fights were on-point, and I ADORED seeing Sin Specter use all of its Finishers. Those Finishers are hilariously enough more impressive than Mugen Ghost's.
