Yes, all of the Japanese text is gone. That is why it is called a clean version. Toho told Funimation to use that version for the BD release. Why? Would you want to have all of the Japanese text burned into the print? I hate it when they do that. Billante and 84 are so annoying due to that.

Or if you mean just the subtitles in general? If so, no, they still have the locations, the names of the people, the job titles of the people, and then the dialog stuff. All of the pointless stuff that is irelevant to the story.
