I mean he does but that's not my point, my point is how Hedgehog/Tank performs on a similar level as Rabbit/Tank with no visible drawback attached to its fighting power.

Why the hell should it matter if he can only finish the Smash in a Best Match form? In that case, he should always fight in mix and match-forms and only switch back for the finisher, which would make Best Matches obsolete in the main bulk of a fight.

So no, that theory isn't solving the issue at all.
