Ok. Let me try to make sense here. The whole 35 hours thing was accelerated because of the Dark Pentagon reviving and making more Warlords. So by defeating the extra Warlords they were able to buy some more time.

Also, I took CaoCao as being JoJo. Cho-cho, jo-jo; they have similar sounds, but I personally think it's jojo.
