This show may have taken a while to really explain itself but the plot twists are generally interesting even if the arc surrounding the King Form is by far better written than the rest of the show so far imo.

Also, after everything that's happened Amane is still oblivious to everything that's going on...

I believe head writer change was due to poor toy sales, if I recall correctly.
