Nice of Kyuranger to finally address the elephant in the room of Tsurugi accidentally becoming the de facto leader ever since he showed up. It's even nicer to give Xiao some time in the spotlight again after however many episodes of him being either unimportant or just straight up sleeping in a cave. His heart to heart with Tsurugi was the kind of reflective thing I love to see in a late series episode like this too. Like, "Oh yeah, that loudmouth idiot from back in February is a king now. Time really does fly."

If we're willing to get this meta with episode premises though, I'd really like to see one before the show ends where Spada and Garu are separated from the rest of the team and have an exciting adventure where they end up bonding over their mutual inability to stand out in a crowd. Come on, Kyuranger, you've got at least 10 episodes left. Make it happen.
