While I don’t really like to put the other two down because all three series have been by far and large the best toku shows of their respective year, I’d agree that Geed is a stronger series than X and Orb. Simply because it feels like it encapsulates both of their stronger qualities.
Orb dealt with a smaller cast and so had better character development as well as a properly developed villain.
In comparison X was a much more “by the numbers” Ultraman show, but felt better connected with the wider universe with all its crossover elements (I know Orb had the cards, but the point stands).
Geed has both of these things, and does them both very well. It’s also acting as a really good Ultraseven anniversary series without directly involving Ultraseven as well. Watching them side by side has really made me appreciate how many cameos they’ve thrown into Geed.

I actually like Geed better than Orb I think. Orb was great, but if I look back at it, it had way less interesting characters than Geed.
Orb only really had Gai and Juggler. The support characters never stood out to me that much. Not that they weren't great, but Geed just has more. More faces and more interesting stories behind them.
Geed also has the most focused story-line yet, previous Ultraman suffered a bit from villains appearing out of nowhere at the very end. X was the worst offender in that regard, Orb at least had a bit of a tie-in but Orochi was still just a rather mindless monster.
Geed will also have a villain appear at the end, but it's Belial (or a form of Belial at least) who always had a hand in what was going on and appeared physically before. Kei is also an interesting antagonist, not as interesting as Juggler but still a well written and well portrayed bad guy.
It's always hard comparing things that are this good, but for me, Geed is the best new-age Ultraman show yet.
Huh. Guess I'll have to catch up. I mean, I liked Orb. And Geed's designs look really freaking cool. Maybe this'll be another hit for me.
