I first got into Power Rangers as a kid because of all the flashy special effects and the fight scenes. Basically I was really into everything that happened from the moment they morph onwards including all the fancy posing and shouting that goes on.
I did grow out of it eventually after it got a bit stale for my liking and I had moved on to Pokemon somewhat, but came back to the genre this year because of the Power Rangers film that came out and after hearing that the show I loved as a kid was actually an adaptation of a show that originated in Japan several years prior on the internet (something that I suspected was the case after realising that Saban had actually just been responsible for dubbing Digimon and that it was actually made in Japan so it was the natural conclusion I made regarding all the Saban shows I was watching when young) I finally bit the bullet and decided to watch Sentai as it was airing. This ended up extending to Kamen Rider which ended up appealing to me more from a whole storyline perspective, ESPECIALLY after marathoning Gaim.
That said, I still love all the posing and transformation sequences, and as an adult I have spotted the themes and how the designs of all these suits actually related to the themes, something I never really gave much thought to until the last few years.
