The casino bit is by far the least good part. In fact, I watched it a third time yesterday, and was kind uninterested by the entire Resistance thread of the film. I don't dislike it, but it's SO much less interesting than the Rey and Kylo Ren stuff. I kinda want a fan-edit of the film that's just all the Kylo Ren and Rey parts of the film, adding the resistance stuff in once the First Order starts firing on the transports.

Considering how little the casino planet mattered in the end, they could've cut the whole thing from the film and the movie would've been the same. Hell, it probably would've given it a shorter run time too.

Actually, all the best scenes of the film didn't really happen till the third act. The kamikaze hyperdrive is easily the best part of the movie.
