Otoya is over the top which is what makes him fun to watch. He is totally convinced of his status as a genius that comes around one in century and that he is gods gift to women, though his only real skills he demonstrates are he is a good enough fighter to take on the monsters with out the ixa system, fighting with only a bladed weapon, being a good person and helping others, and finally a very talented violinist. Most of his boasting is to cover up the fact he is a good person and he is doing it because he just wants to. He doesn't want to admit he just helped them without any other reason.
