I mean, I don't really mind him being another Sentai villain. Considering how much I loved Genis, I expect him to be at least very entertaining by the end of things.

I don't know about that. There have been plenty of Sentai with power shifts with the main villain.
Besides, I know he's not gonna be anything too special (Hell, technically speaking, he literally pit every monster of his against each other), but I think his laid back style plus his aloof nature is neat.
