It's all a matter of perspective.
The unreleased 90's Fantastic Four film was typically seen as one of the worst hero flicks of all time. After the 3 other FF films that followed, people have looked back at it with a softer light.

People didn't want PR in Disney's hands because Disney didn't even want it, and it showed, while in comparison, when Nick got it, they advertised the hell out of it, showing that they care about the property.
Turns out, with Disney's more lax interest in the property, they got to put out...Passable seasons, while Nick's strangle hold approach means each season is kind of crap.

PR just can't catch a break
