Saban Brands made a decision to license out the toy line to another company. Bandai America runs through April 2019 and thus Saban Brands needs a guaranteed home for the product this new toy company will be making. So a 3 year deal with Nickelodeon is done primarily to bridge the year gap we're about to run in to during summer 2019 until Fall 2019 when this new toy company will have product hit the shelves.

Then, for 2 years, they get to do their run on Power Rangers.
