ugh no. why would you want PR to be a carbon copy of sentai? i always prefer them to be original and creates their own lore. if i wanted to watch a sentai story, id watch the sentai.

i once had this kind of "purist" mentality until one day i remembered what got me into toku in first place: none other than power rangers. been rewatching some old seasons and it hit me how they used to be really creative and able to tell a whole different and interesting story back then. hell, for example i found rpm to be more enjoyable than go-onger, which i instantly dropped in episode 7 due to how overtly boring and episodic that series was.

besides a scene to scene, word to word carbon copy would NOT work very well. remember: cultural difference. you see Samurai as example. it came off as real awkward due to how heavy the japanese theme of Shinkenger was and in result it didnt translate really well to the western side.
