Well, Gaim's power originated from the helheim forest/plant. It expand continuously while infecting other planet and lifeforms even the overlords's world. Also, Build focus more on the government while the world leaders of Gaim just leave everything to takatora and ryoma. Misora being possess by an alien reminds me of the lady from uktraman tiga. Maybe shouichi, the leaders, and nanba are controlled by the evil within the pandora box while Misora alter ego/possession is kind of like the Mai of this series that tries to prevent it.
