A year after the Gokaigers defeated the Zangyack invasion fleet and decided to go after the Zangyack at their home planet, they return as part of the Zangyack and attack the Go-Busters. In the midst of battle, the Go-Busters manage to steal Navi who reveals that Vaglass is also working with the Zangyack and that the Go-Busters need to go back in time.

They do and they meet up with the legendary Japanese folk hero Rat Boy (Nezumi Kozo) who is a master thief. But what's this? Rat Boy is Ikari Gai, aka GokaiSilver! And he's going to help them ... as long as they show him respect, as the Go-Busters are the 36th Super Sentai team and he is part of the 35th.
