No acquisition will change that. Even if Power Rangers becomes the next Marvel Universe, it's still going to carry that stigma.

Instead of trying to earn respect of others that frankly don't give a shit, people should just like what they like and not give a damn about what others think. Trying to make someone who doesn't like something like it artificially can have drastic effects as to what makes that thing at it's heart, what defines it.

I kindly disagree on the part that people's opinions cannot be changed. People outside of comic fans used to view Captain America as silly, but now he's one of the most revered superhero of all time. I just want Power Rangers to receive that level of respect, meaning Hasbro would make them appeal to everyone.

But yes, they should not pander to the ones that don't really care (because it would be disastrous). Just do things that attracts both fans and newcomers.
