I think they may find a way to use Shin still in the new one. He did seem an awful lot like a cloning experiment of the Big G gone wrong. And the evolved beings on the tail do seem a lot like what the Planet X aliens were. So there seems like a lot of potential in that for some interesting creations in this new universe.

So Toho might find a way to retcon that in somehow, or newly adapt it in as an offshoot of Space Godzilla, but not directly the new space Godzilla. More like something that was created because of Space G.

Really depends on how they approach this and the Big G's origins.

I would have loved to have seen how Shin further evolved though. The people side could have been interesting, but the Shin further evolution could have proven even more nightmarish.

Zilla got added to final wars, so I wouldn't count Shin entirely out yet now that he's part of the library.
