Fun fact, Adding to Aoi's little tidbit, in Japan the miky way is called "amanogawa( the same name used in Fourze's school)", which translates to "heaven's river" or "river of the sky". Also Ginga consists of the kanji characters that mean "silver(gin)" and "river(ga)". So it is mostly the context that defines Ginga as a water element within the show I think.
