A friend of mine recently told me that his interested in checking out Super Sentai and he asked me for a recommendation.

I thought I shouldn't start him with any from the 70's, 80's or 90's since he might find it too dated and gets turned off by the franchise. So I was thinking something from the 2000's and I thought Gokaiger might be good since he will see the suits from the previous 34 teams and some idea how the other series were like.

But then i thought since this will be his first series a lot of the callbacks and the cameos of the legend sentai will be lost on him.

Dekaranger is my other option since I don't know if he will have the patience to sit through an entire season and Dekaranger with its episodic format might appeal to him more. Though I may not be giving him enough credit since I know he has seen a couple of KR shows from start to finish.

What do you guys think?
