I gave it some thought and would like to suggest Zyuohger. I think out of the recent batch of seasons this past decade the show is mild enough to serve as a decent starting point. The assortment of rangers we get are also diverse peronality-wise and Yamato/Zyuoh Eagle feels like a well-balanced red ranger who is not too extreme.

Also... MINECRAFT MEGAZORD.
And they got one of the most badass tsuika senshis(additional warrior) with Zyuoh The World.
It is also an anniversary season that does not require heavy knowledge of past seasons.
