Plus, I find it hard to beleive that Toei would put those two shows on hiatus without having something else to take it's place.
They won't. And even if they did, it'd only be to swap in a different tokusatsu anyway. The revenues that timeslot generates and the merchandising royalties is too much of a cash cow to not use it. That and the added revenues of abroad licensing.
They also wouldn't have been able to make that deal with Amazon either if they planned on going on hiatus. Too many anniversaries coming up for both too. So right now, a hiatus is the last thing on their mind. Too much to market and profit off of.
And based on trends, we're due for another Power Rangers surge in popularity globally. Not to mention how much it's already surging in expanded licensing to South Korea, and other markets. As well as how much Sentai is gaining traction again, and the all-time high that Build was for Riders which Zi-O looks to keep going.
So in other words, it's Nintendo syndrome. They won't go on hiatus because it's too busy printing money for them.
And yup, as you said, too much tokusatsu and tie-in material across the board. So even without Sentai and Riders(not that they are going anywhere anytime soon anyway!), too much material to cover between all the other franchises out there. This site would feel no impact either way. If anything, the extra other material getting made would cause a surge from new audiences pulled in from the different genres/markets tapped.
