Probably just me, but that ending was incredibly similar to that of the Nintendo Wii game Xenoblade Chronicles.

Both main characters end up recreating the world to achieve piece and the epilogue showed how everyone is doing in this new world, except in Xenoblade everyone remembered what had happened before whereas in here only Sento and Banjo remember what happened before.

In a coincidence both end with the camera panning out on two main characters sitting down beside each other except from opposite angles, one with it panning from behind, the other from forward.
