Referring to somebody as "young x" isn't particularly uncommon even without the knowledge that it's only a translation. You just took it too literally.

It's not particularly uncommon or noteworthy. He's been referring to the two of them with the "-kun" suffix this whole time. He first refers to them by name, as such, in episode 2. The conversation between Geiz and Woz is informative of their past relationship, but forms of address like that are weak speculation fodder. It's old news for one, and there's no basis for comparison because he hasn't addressed anybody aside from them and Sougo (who is a special case for obvious reasons). And even putting that aside, he doesn't need a particularly special reason to address somebody as "kun," it's an entirely commonplace piece of the Japanese language, and it fits with Woz's character and manner of speech.
