All the retcon and obvious shoehorning merchandise + thin plot is driving the show down as well as a very vanilla trio as the heroes and villains. Banjo get a ride watch because of his popularity is still at its peak. Beast carries his and wizard for some reason. Dan gets one too and Eiji for some reason have tajadol. Not to mention the taka buddy gadget. Yes, ankh. Then we have Gaim watermelon gadget for no reason at all. Power scaling wise is odd as well. Another Build gain random best matches from athletes because the kid is a basketball player. Another Wizard , another fouze, and another Gaim have access to a wider range of other base form main and side powers. It's neat that if using the legendary rider armor form can access all the powers without additional unrealistic time consuming gimmick like decade it would be great. Remember decade have to use cards to transform, summon weapon, techniques, and finishers. I do like that faiz phone and the utilization of the gadget for Geiz to use Faiz trademark rider kick though. However, most of the fights are bland like lupin mecha battles. Both series are suffering. Lupin only have good action on land with the awesome camera work and character development, but no plot progression at all. Zamigo is like the only obstacle. It's been a while since we care about the villains since Zamigo, the only villain with a human disguise only appeared in a handful of episodes. Usually, when they cast an actor, you would expect him to be more relevant than a suit actor. I don't know about schedule or script issue bts. Back to zio, most of the "forms" are quite exaggerated in design in a bad way. I actually prefer simplistic of the kuuga one, which reminds me of the Ghost legendary forms. Zio is like Fruit riders using legendary forms in the Sengoku movie war. All the toku alumni treated as different characters with minor nods, cameo, and Easter egg references. The another riders are too weak and formulaic for the fight scenes to be enjoyable. It's all flashiness with zio and geiz with less physical punches nowadays. The purple time jacker looks like he could just end zio, but he didn't and just let him defeat their new demon king bi weekly. I'm more interesting to see a fight between woz and the time jackers in their monster forms, which I assume they will get ones. It seem they're more interesting than the main cast. Anyway, next week it looks like we're shifting things and Ghost might be the same Ghost like Decade with his power and memory intact because of Geiz. I assume Geiz stole them from Ohma in the future.
