That said, with this episode, good freaking riddance Neo-Saban! Not gonna miss you one bit. Except Tommy's Master Morpher, despite disliking Tommy.
Should have gone with the Armada taking over earth, and Rangers in exile, hiding as space pirates with ranger tech, using the history of Ranger Powers to try and fight for earth's freedom.
But too little too late now.
But maybe when they get to Kyu's footage, they'll figure something out for cross dimensional stuff. Would love to see some kind of super sentai actual crossover, or some kind of dual episode from both sides. Where we see the Super Sentai side in the Japanese version, and the US side in the Power Rangers episode of the crossover. Like the Deka/Kyu crossover in a way. Or more hidden in the background of either side. So it's a background cameo comedic of them trying not to get noticed by the Rangers of that world. And we see their perspective of the episode in the Toei version.
That is the one thing that irks me about SMF. The gokai galleon should be a space pirate ship that's cross dimensional like the Travelion. Would allow for so much more interesting material in later usage. And then when the series ends, have it end on a similar BoukenRed note of him traveling the vastness of the multiverse or something with a partner or few. So it's a better mix of "in Space", ending on a note of how Andros entered the turbo rangers lives. So it parallels better to classic. Little tweaks like that could have really pushed it over the edge into much better areas. But what can you do. It is what it is now.
It always felt like a waste of what they did to Gokai though. It was such a big chance for that "in space" kind of rebirth using a Harlock twist.
