Like the new dynamic. Interesting up play to it for the story build. Love how it contrasts the new year to the new direction.

Though I wouldn't count other past riders being done either.
Future riders will likely only be a temp thing, and we still have much more to go with the series even after their episodes.

But the show always suggested it was going to be timey wimy in the approach with divergent branches eventually, and potentially other shifts. It is very much the Terminator/BttF rider. So currently looks like they are diving into the divergent branch timeline theory and origin point of the divergent branches being where they all intersect to come into existence.

Do find the names more interesting now with how they pertain to future tech.

Gates/Geiz and Woz.
Wozniak having been the guy that worked for Steve Jobs which fits the whole retainer motif, but he's also a tech savvy entrepreneur in his own right.

Though I think Geiz might surprise, his soldier aspect seems to preclude him from becoming an overlord directly. But we'll see how his character progresses. He does share heavy traits with Dragon Ball's Vegeta.
