I obviously don't know how far the show plans to take their relationship, but it's worth noting that Sakuya has mellowed out considerably over the course of the series, and Umika has been gradually warming up to him for around half the show by this point. As for this episode in particular, like VilaVanilla said, it has more to do with Umika feeling guilty. I still don't think she has any serious interest in him.
