It introduced the power-up using concepts from Ryuki and that's just phenomenal. Zi-O 2's debut did not take away from the Ryuki elements at all.

Again, visually and auditory-wise this was a trip down memory-lane. Amazing use of mirrors in the cinematography. The sound effects were nostalgic and the locations doubly so. The place Zi-O 2 defeats Another Ryuga is the same location where Knight fought Scissors.

Interesting character motivations and surprisingly good acting from Sougo's actor made for good drama this episode, and the short segment of Shinji in his home was great. And I couldn't stop smiling at the end when Shinji and Okubo finally reunited. That was something straight out of the original Ryuki.

Now hopefully the spin-off can bring Ren/Knight back and I will be a happy Ryuki fanboy.

Oh and Zi-O 2 himself looks great in action! That big sword finisher was impressive.

Given the track record of faiz in taisen and specials as well as toku these days in general, it's hard to tell considering its not a full on return with decent budget and full essemble cast returning. It's still hard to accept Sougou gets buffs up and taller as well as becoming a capable fighter given the actor physique.

Nice fight and alternate persona acting, but the logic/rules of this series is so messy. Kikaider/zamigo is Back.
