The T-Rex / Shark one kind of worked because it didn't really look like either. This is an odd case; I assume most of the time they do it because they don't think the original animal will be 'cool' enough, or kids won't know what it is (not that I really agree with that in any case), this is particularly odd; is mantis and scarab really easier than just two beetles?

That aside, a fun episode. I like Nate and Steel does fill a personality niche the team certainly doesn't have already
