I'm not so sure. Sometimes, Japanese use is a little to the left of western use. I'll be delighted if it is, indeed, a female Rider, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if there's no gender relationship between the Valkyrie name and this Rider. None of the action figures appear to have feminine proportions. Then again, that I don't see a figure at all in the RKF line would suggest that, yep, this is a female Rider, since that's how Bandai rolls.

I'm very excited that we've got a main Rider design that's so sleek! I'm baffled that Zero-1's Driver isn't even an eyesore. (Then again, I think the Gamer Driver permanently skewed my perception of what constitutes a gaudy Driver.) I'm baffled that his first upgrade form actually looks like... an upgrade, without verging into ugly or silly territory. Looks like the helmet hits most all the repeating Rider elements: bug eyes, the gem at the center, the "tears," and antennae. Way less abstraction than usual, and yet the design doesn't feel like a lazy rehash of Ichigou. The briefcase weapons are so sleek it doesn't even look like modern Rider design.

That cheetah form (Valkyrie?) - and the shape of the holders in that image - just screams Go-Busters to me. The timing on the phone-cycle is just bafflingly weird. Build was just two years ago!

It was based primarily on a seemingly otherwise-accurate leak that got misconstrued. It said that Zi-O being a female Rider was something Toei had considered during the design process, and several people (myself included) mistook that for indicating that Zi-O would be a female Rider.
