Okay so I always figured this as being game related. You've got your standard ending that wraps everything up via the TV Series. But then you've got True Ending which is basically the Post-Game story mission for completing the game. At least that's how I saw it. In that it doesn't do much in terms of endings, it's just a thing at the end as a reward for getting through the game.
