It’s not demons. Why the hell is everybody acting like it has to be demons? Google Translate is a terrible translator. Were the Majin in Majiranger demons? For crying out loud, 魔 is the first half of the Japanese word for magic itself and there’s a lot of Japanese fantasy media talks about “holy magic,” which if you’re so insistent that you’re supposed to be reading that character as demon, even when it’s not being used in that context, would make the concept of holy magic about as rational as saying a rainy desert. You also have MAJIN Buu, who is about as “traditionally demonic” as Goten is.

I am near certain that you were not supposed to be reading it as demon so much is you are supposed to read it as magic. Especially when you have it as others have pointed out, the potential for it to be a pun meaning machine and majin. You know, like the giant robot thing from Zi-O. Because I don’t think a transforming space bike with a clock for a face is a demon found in any sort of grimoire.
